Along with co-host, fellow mix DJ and business partner Jon Pace (aka Ausar Ra Black Hawk, who came on as a part of the show in 2004), the weekly radio show & podcast (we have been podcasting since 2006) exists to bring the Balance Back to Black Radio with having a strong focus on bringing a diverse mix of independent and mainstream Black Music (Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Funk, House & more) from all over the world along with relevant commentary on everything from popular culture to politics, news and guest interviews to the international listening masses.

Title: Not All Podcasters Are White: The Diversity Panel
Surprise! Not all podcasters are white (and/or famous and/or rich and/or of a certain age and/or politically believe the same ol ‘things). This DC Podfest panel is where we continue the conversation about how much diversity is needed to maintain a rich, healthy, sustainable independent and mainstream media ecosystem via listening to and exposing diverse voices and perspectives beyond the surface through this growing mode of expression (and also other modes of entertainment too). Check out some of our great podcasters from the area talking about their experiences from beginners to veterans with their journeys with bringing real diversity into media on so many ends.
