Colleen MacDonald is the host and producer of the Got Science? Podcast. Thousands of listeners have been tuning into Got Science? since the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) launched the podcast this past February.
Colleen and her affable correspondents—not scientists themselves—interview actual scientists within and outside of UCS on hot topics at the intersection of science and policy. For example: How can you get solar panels for your roof? How can we resist the Trump administration’s anti-science policies? Is it time to really get scared about North Korea’s nuclear capabilities? And finally…if global warming is real, why is snow so cold?
The podcast features additional, shorter segments on science history, and updates on the latest science-related outrages from the administration.
Colleen has been a web geek since there was a web. When she’s not interviewing guests and producing the podcast, she manages website communications and blogs at UCS. In her free time, the retired rocker works with the New England Aquarium turtle rescue and rehab hospital saving hundreds of critically endangered sea turtles.
